The buildings below, Devon Avenue and the roadwork are all results of Project Garnet. In addition, 1 acre park will be developed at the historic Glover Mill location.

Haddon Heights Community Center
The Haddon Heights Community Center
is a place for all residents of Haddon Heights to come together for community
events, programs and recreation. This first-of-a-kind
building for Haddon Heights will increase the quality of life for the residents
of Haddon Heights. This building also houses the Senior Citizen’s Room, a place
dedicated to the senior residents of Haddon Heights to allow for fellowship and
solace from the everyday life. The Haddon Heights Community Center will forever
remain a key asset in Haddon Heights, representing the importance of our
Borough’s dedication to our community.

Lippincott
Lane has been widened, drainage updated , and sidewalks added to enhance driving
and pedestrian safety.
Haddon Heights Cabin
The Haddon Heights Cabin, built in 1926, was
originally known as the Boy Scout Cabin. For many years this historic structure
supported the Boy Scouts, Haddon Heights Youth Association, the Shuffleboard
league and many other groups from the Borough of Haddon Heights. In 2009 it was
recognized that the condition of the Cabin was not up to par. Mayor and Council
decided that the Municipality needed to make an investment into the Cabin in
order to save this structure from being condemned and unusable. With the help
of Borough capital, County grants and volunteers, the cabin was restored to a
condition better than when it was first built.

Devon Avenue Recreational Build Out
The area behind the tennis court on Devon Avenue is in the process of being processes due to Project Garnet to provide an additional 4 acres of sport specific recreational space.

The Haddon Heights Service
Operations Facility was built to house operations for the following key services;
Department of Public Works, Construction Department, Zoning Department and
Engineering. This facility provides the Borough residents a convenient location
where questions and needs can be addressed. The New Jersey American Water
Company partnered with the Borough of Haddon Heights to allow this complex to
be created in a cost efficient manner. The Haddon Heights Service Operations
Facility will forever remain a key asset in Haddon Heights, representing the
importance of our Borough’s dedication to providing our residents key services.
